WoW Azeroth
Azeroth is the world of Warcraft; this game borrows its classes, races and zones.
Azeroth is the fictional world where World of Warcraft takes place. Azeroth Survivors does not recreate the MMO; it borrows Azeroth's geography and fantasy — Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Night Elf, Orc, Undead, Tauren and Troll races, and zones from Elwynn Forest onward — and puts a survivors loop on top of it.
That is why zone names feel familiar to WoW players and confusing to everyone else. You do not need to know WoW lore to play: pick a class, move, and let the spells fire. Lore helps you recognise a zone, it does not gate your first run.
Races you will recognise from Azeroth
Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Night Elf, Orc, Undead, Tauren and Troll. Race is a starting choice, not a lore quiz — you do not need WoW story knowledge to finish your first Elwynn run.
